Wellbeing in Every Setting
Wellbeing Workshops
Alongside a drama psychotherapist, I created a series of workshops tailored towards creatives in training. These workshops are based off of extensive research along with my own experience of what my peers and I felt would have been useful whilst in training.
Each workshop is designed to build resilience for participants and aims to give creative the tools to look after their wellbeing. These are suitable for actors on degree, part-time, post grad, foundation and short courses.

In the past 3 years I have developed these workshops for industry professionals working across theatre, tv and film too. These workshops encourage conversations around safe and ethical practise in rehearsal and performance and give professionals the tools to look after their wellbeing. As part of every workshop a wellbeing resource is given to all creatives - this includes self care tips, de-roling methods and a list of further support services
They explore many themes including:
-
self-care
-
dealing with sensitive subject matters
-
de-roling
-
comparison (and how to avoid it)
-
sustaining your wellbeing once you've left drama school
-

Wellbeing Facilitation
Wellbeing facilitators across projects in theatre and film is fast becoming best-practise.
As a wellbeing facilitator, it is my job to help you champion a positive working culture that promotes healthy wellbeing. I work with management to help prevent stress and mental health issues for cast and crew, safeguard effectively and provide 1-1 support for individuals who may need it.
Wellbeing facilitation can look different on every project but it may involve the following:
-
To assist in creating a space for the creatives to explore difficult subject matters bravely and safely
-
To offer compassionate, practical 1-1 sessions to any creatives through the process who may seek it
-
To work closely with the Directors & Producers to create a terms of working in which rehearsals will be conducted
-
To facilitate workshops focussed on resilience and self-care
1-1 Wellbeing Sessions
1-1 sessions are an important place for individuals to process, debrief and reflect on any challenges they might be experience in a safe, confidential setting.
These can be offered online and in person and can exist as part of a wider role across a production, throughout a rehearsal process, at a drama school or on an individual level.
Research has shown that it is beneficial to have someone outside of the rehearsal process who can offer independent, unbiased support and that is why it is useful to have a wellbeing facilitator on board your project, production or course.
If you're a company, organisation or an individual and you feel you may benefit from some 1-1 sessions, get in touch.
